Vinylethers form alternating copolymers via charge transfer-complex polymerization with electron-deficient monomers, such as vinyl chlorides, maleic anhydride, TFCE, and results in improverd solubility and flexibility.
It is used in the production vinyl chloride polymers. In fluoropolymer resins, it contributes solubility, adhesion and crosslinking making a highly durable coating.
